Data We Collect

We collect and store various types of personal information, including:

• Personal Information: Your name, email address, phone number, gender, and other details provided during registration or profile editing.
• Event Data: Information related to events you create, including event details, location, and participation.
• Location Data: We collect your location data to show nearby events based on your proximity. This information is stored securely in our backend services.
• Device Information: Device details, including the type of device and push notification token, are stored for notification purposes.

Event Types and User Interaction

We offer three types of events with different access and participation rules:

• Global Events: Any user within 1km, 5km, 10km, 20km, 50km, 100km, or 1000km of the event location can see the event and attend.
• Public Events: Users in your friends list can see and attend the public events you create, or you can send them an invitation. These events are visible to your friends on the map.
• Private Events: Only users in your friends list can be invited to private events. They must accept the invitation to attend, and the event will only be visible to them on the map.

Event Reminders Integration

If you attend an event and grant access, a reminder can be created in Apple’s Reminders app. This allows you to receive a notification for the event.

Event Location and Sharing

You can view the event's location on Apple Maps by clicking the button on the top-right of the event card.

Event cards can also be shared with others via WhatsApp or other applications.

Email Verification and Password Management

For account security and management, we use email verification as part of the following processes:

• Sign Up: A 6-digit verification code is sent to your email to confirm your registration.
• Forgot Password: A 6-digit verification code is sent to your email to help reset your password.
• Change Password: A 6-digit verification code is sent to your email to confirm the password change.

These codes are temporary and used only for the intended purpose of verifying your identity or resetting your password.

Event Location and Data Retention

We store location data for events you create. This data is kept in Amazon RDS and S3. Event data includes:

• Event Location: The geographical location of the event.
• Event Details: Including event time, description, and other event-related data.

Data Retention:
Once an event’s date has passed, its record will be automatically deleted from the database after 1 week.

Device Information for Notifications

In order to send notifications to your device, we store your device information, including:

• Device Type: (e.g., iPhone, iPad)
• Push Notification Token: Used to send notifications.

This information is securely stored in our PostgreSQL database on Amazon RDS and is used exclusively for sending notifications through Apple Notification Center.

Profile Picture and Event Image Upload

When creating an event or editing your profile, you can upload a photo either from your photo library or by taking a new picture using your device's camera.

The photos you upload are securely stored in Amazon S3 for event images and profile pictures. Your privacy is important to us, and these images are stored safely in compliance with our privacy policy.

Security and Data Protection

We take the security of your data seriously and implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect it from unauthorized access, alteration, or deletion. All personal information is stored securely in our Amazon RDS and S3 services.

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page, and we will notify users if significant changes are made. Please review this policy periodically for updates.
